two weeks ago we road tripped to s. & n. carolina. some thoughts one it are:
01. the view is beautiful south of ohio. all the trees were just beginning to turn.
02. so many mountains in w. virginia! i am enamored. one day i wish to live on the side of a mountain- preferably in warm weather.
03. overcame most of my anxiety (snakes & crazies) about camping in the woods off trail, off map.
04. we had great campfires & great eats (hot dogs, can beans, organic veggies, garlic butter s&p baked potatoes! & wines).
05. i fucking love lindville falls. yea.
06.there is lovely art on barns & establishments. simplistic, colorful, shape based patterns (loosely derived from native american art?).
07. coffee & tea are so so so luxurious in the mornings.
08. epic (for me) hiking, camping on the Appalachian mountains. hiking a short trail- it was steep & narrow! i feared for my weak knees. climbing up was a lot easier. so much fun & so relaxing. i hope for much more hiking in my future.
